RRB ALP SYLLABUS 2024

The syllabus for the RRB ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot) exam typically covers the following subjects:

1. Mathematics: This section includes topics such as number system, decimal and fractions, LCM and HCF, ratio and proportion, percentages, mensuration, time and work, time and distance, simple and compound interest, profit and loss, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, elementary statistics, etc.

2. General Intelligence and Reasoning: The questions in this section are designed to test the candidate’s reasoning abilities, problem-solving skills, and analytical thinking. Topics may include analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning, etc.

3. General Science: This section aims to test the candidate’s knowledge in general science. The topics may include physics, chemistry, and life sciences (biology) of 10th standard level.

4. General Awareness and Current Affairs: This section assesses the candidate’s awareness of current events, both national and international, as well as their general knowledge. Topics may include history, geography, economics, politics, scientific research, sports, culture, etc.

Selection process: For the post of station controller/train operator (post code-NE01), and customer relation assistant (post code-NE02), the selection methodology will comprise written test (two papers), psycho test (qualifying) & personal interaction followed by medical examination in aye-one category. .

For the post of junior engineer (electrical/electronics/civil), (post codes NE 03, NE 04, NE 05 & NE 06) the selection methodology will comprise written test (two papers), skill/trade test followed by medical examination in aye-one category not below aye-three.

For the post of accounts assistant, office assistant (post code NE 11, NE-12, the selection methodology will comprise two-stage process – written test (two papers), followed by personal interaction /medical examination in cee-one category.

For the post of maintainer (post code ne-07 to ne -10), the selection methodology will comprise two-stage process – written test (one paper), followed by skill test/ trade test and medical examination in bee-one category. There will be no general English paper for this category and no interview for these category posts.

Written test: the written test will consist of two papers (paper-i and paper-ii), to be held on the same day in the same center).
Paper-i will consist of multiple choice objective type questions, bilingual (Hindi/English),
Total questions - 90 questions
Wrong answer - 1/3 marks

Paper-ii (not for maintainer post, NE 07 to NE 10) will consist of objective type questions on general English to judge the knowledge of English language. There will be a total of 30 questions, each carrying equal marks. There will be negative marking. For every wrong answer 1/3 marks will be deducted. The paper-ii shall be of 30 minutes’ duration. Candidates will have to qualify in paper-ii (general English) to be evaluated for paper i ( except for maintainers) . Candidates who stand in the merit of written test of paper i will be called for personal interaction /psycho test/ skill test/medical examination in Noida / Delhi/ NCR. Written test can be conducted either through online mode.

आवेदन के लिए पात्रता मानदंड:

  1. केवल भारतीय नागरिक ही पात्र हैं। 
  2.  उम्मीदवार ने 31 जुलाई, 2016 को या उसके बाद AICTE या GOI द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त इंजीनियरिंग शाखाओं में अपने तीन / दो वर्ष के डिप्लोमा कोर्स को उत्तीर्ण किया। 3. आयु सीमा: अधिकतम आयु 28 वर्ष या 30/06/2019 तक कम।
  3. एससी / एसटी और पीडब्ल्यूडी उम्मीदवारों के लिए ऊपरी आयु सीमा में 5 वर्ष और ओबीसी उम्मीदवारों के लिए 3 वर्ष की छूट दी गई है। 
  4. यदि उम्मीदवारों की संख्या इंगित की गई रिक्तियों की संख्या से अधिक है, तो लिखित परीक्षा के लिए उम्मीदवारों की शॉर्ट लिस्टिंग का मानदंड डिप्लोमा में प्राप्त अंतिम प्रतिशत अंकों के आधार पर होगा, जो चयन समिति द्वारा तय किया जाएगा।
  5. लिखित परीक्षा में उपस्थित होने के लिए बीईएल कर्मचारी वार्ड के लिए पास वर्ग आवश्यक होगा

प्राप्ति आवेदन की अंतिम तिथि 21/07/2019 है। चयन लिखित परीक्षा के माध्यम से होगा इच्छुक उम्मीदवार को BOAT के वेब पोर्टल पर पंजीकरण करना आवश्यक है www.mhrdnats.gov.in अंतिम तिथि के बाद प्राप्त आवेदन नहीं होगा
